Wishing you Happy

holidays and

A good new year 2014

Since we started our research into orcas, we’ve learned so much about the families living in Russian Far East waters. Our wish is that the coming years will bring new insights into orca biology and ecology — their lives in the wild. We hope they will have enough food and will feel free and safe in their home waters. We need your support to keep orcas free and to protect ocean biodiversity so that it will be healthy for future generations.

The Far East Russia Orca Project, now in its 14th year, is sponsored by WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, Animal Welfare Institute, and the Rufford Foundation. The associated Russian Cetacean Habitat Project, which started in 2009, is funded by WDC’s Critical Habitat Marine Protected Areas Programme, Donna Litowitz, the Poole Family, among others. But we could be doing more. If you know someone who can help us, please contact us by email. To keep up with exciting new research and conservation developments, please join our facebook page at www.facebook.com/russianorca or see www.russianorca.com.
